What are cookies?
A cookie (also called tracking cookie, browser cookie, and HTTP cookie) is designed to be a small piece of text stored on a user’s computer by a web browser. A cookie comprises of one or more name-value pairs containing bits of information such as user preferences, ID contents, phone numbers, the identifier for a server-based session, or other important data which has been used by websites.
How to Block Cookies
1. You detect that certain site sends or receives undesirable cookies using Cookies window. That window shows a list of cookies sent or received during opening of the current page.
2. After you decided that you do not want certain cookies, you instruct Ad Annihilator to block them. Select the cookies you want to block in Cookies window and press “Block cookies of this type” button or right-click the cookie and select “Block cookies of this type” in the context menu.
How to Clean Cookies?
You can clean up cookies from your system by using the options available in Internet Explorer. To delete cookies, perform the following steps:
1. In the Internet Explorer window, go to the Tools menu and click Internet Options.
2. Depending on the Internet Explorer version installed on your computer, on the General tab you may see a section with options to either delete temporary Internet Explorer files or the Browsing History.
3. If you see the Browsing History section, select Delete.
4. In the Delete Browsing History dialog box that is displayed, select the Delete Cookies button to remove cookies from your computer. You can use this dialog box to delete other types of Internet files, such as history, form data, passwords, and temporary Internet files.
