How to Limit Programs at Startup Menu?

A lot of program manufacturers intend to design their products to load automatically at Windows start up in order to make greater profits. Actually, this way could not raise their sales but only force the customers to use more time to load Windows. Sometimes unfortunately, Windows system may be shutdown without any error messages and your disk files may get lost without your permission.
Here are two available methods to solve the problem. The first method prevents programs from loading for the current user. The second method prevents programs from loading for all users. Instructions for both methods are listed below.
Prevent Programs from Loading at Startup for the Current User
1. Click Start and Click Run. Go to regedit. Your registry editor will come up on your screen.
2. Click HKEY_CURRENT_USER. This can be found on the left side of the registry editor. Expand this by clicking on the cross on the left.
3. Now Click Software and expand.
4. Look for Microsoft. Expand the Microsoft folder.
5. Locate the Windows folder and expand.
6. Click CurrentVersion. After expanding CurrentVersion, go to Run.
7. Now look at the right side of the registry editor. Look at the programs listed on the right hand pane. Do you see any programs that you don’t want to run at Startup?
8. Right click on each program that you do not want to load at Startup and Select Delete. Be careful not to delete those programs that you do want to run.
9. Exit registry and reboot.
Prevent Programs from Loading at Startup for the Local Machine
1. Click Start and Click Run. Go to regedit. Your registry editor will come up on your screen.
2. Now go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. This is one of the folders found at the left side of the registry editor. Expand this folder by clicking on the cross also found on the left of the folder.
3. Next, click Software. Expand this folder and go to Microsoft.
4. Expand Microsoft and enter Windows. Once you’ve found Windows, expand the folder.
5. Go to CurrentVersion and expand. You should be able to see the Run folder.
6. Look at the right hand pane of your registry editor. What programs are listed there?
7. Right click on each program that you do not want to load at Startup and select Delete.
8. Exit the registry and reboot.
