Windows XP serves its customers with couple of ways to log in the computer. One is the classic method of typing in the username and password to login, another method does not need you to log in the computer without any limit which is also call the Welcome Screen.
How to disable or enable this Welcome Screen when you want to change the way your computer logs in ?
The Windows XP Welcome Screen runs with another feature “Fast User Switching”. This feature offers a user with the ablity of leaving all the programs running at the background when another user needs to work on the computer. The first user can Log Off the session and Switch User back to the Welcome Screen so that another person can deal with his own files on the computer. When the second person has finished his work and log off, the first user can switch back to his preview profile with all the programs still running where they left off. In order to use this feature, you have to adopt the login way through the Welcome Screen. However, if you dont need or want this feature, follow the instructions below to remove the Welcome Screen
